
Venison
Venison is a lean and nutritious meat, offers numerous health benefits, including being a great source of protein, iron, zinc, and B vitamins, while being low in fat and cholesterol. We would like to see venison become a more common mainstream choice for consumers and a much more competitive price.

About 10 years ago Julian developed a scheme with a retailers. The idea
was to get a better price for venison for park owners. This was achieved through teaching the stalkers and gamekeepers how to better look after a carcass and in doing so, getting a better price. We have gone from 0 on the market to upwards of 2500. They carcasses are now better quality as well as bled and shot properly. Now more readilty available in mainstream suprpermakets, parks will ideally have a new sustainable income option enabling them to pay their staff.
Also, when helping parks with their numbers, we look at fertility, food quality, improve body weights and carcasses and increase grass yield.
This resutls in an increased price of carcass at end of the day. ​
